New rejuvenating homes in established towns like Choa Chu Kang, Hougang, Sembawang and Yishun can give more options for those who want to live near their families and friends.
Jobs to closer to home
One reason why some residents don’t leave a certain place and town is because of the jobs/work they have. Good jobs that are closer to their home will be a big help to all residents of a town especially for those who don’t want to leave their family. If a town has lots of job opportunity for its residents then they don’t have to leave the town to support their family. That’s why URA plans to grow regional employment centers such as Jurong Lake District, Paya Lebar Central and Tampines Regional Centre. New Industrial sites and growth areas across the entire North Coast Innovation Corridor will offer new job opportunities and which reduce commuting time and avoid traffic on roads during peak hours. It will sustain growth of the City Center, which includes continuous development Regional Commercial hub. This idea can also help strengthen Singapore’s status as a center of global finance and business
Expansion of green spaces and extending greenery through rooftop garden and sky rise will definitely provide lush living environment. It can foster tourism in the town. Extensive clean water supply network will make life easier for all the residents.
Recreational spaces and activities will be distributed throughout the Island for the entertainment of the active population. There will be different sports facilities and activities at national, regional, town and neighborhood levels in order to foster a healthy community.
Singaporeans always have a liking for finest places in the country. So spots of old heritage like Holland Village, Jalan Kayu and Sarangoon Garden will be designated as Identity Nodes. Parking area all over the town will also be expanded to make public transport reliable and easy. It also stated that 90% of its residents will live within 400m of parking area.
The cycling-friendly environment and various supporting facilities can give the people the safety and security whenever they want to use the cycling frame. It will also provide better Parking Facilities for different kinds of Vehicle.
