In 1962, Far East Organization built its very first residential development, the Jalan Pacheli at Serangoon Garden. The project was preceded shortly with the country’s first 2 1/2-storey villas that feature a rooftop garden. The Singapore Hilton Hotel, one of Singapore’s most prestigious accommodations, is established in 1969, while the Mugliston Hill, the Far East Shopping Centre, and Lucky Plaza were built during the 1970s. Far East Plaza, once hailed as Southeast Asia’s Biggest Shopping Centre was launched in 1983, while the former Ming Court Hotel (now Orchard Parade Hotel) was built in 1987.

The company marked the property development history when it was awarded with the ISO 9002 in 1994; the very first in the industry. Subsequent property developments followed, including:

The URA Architectural Heritage Awards are also given to several Far East Organization projects, including The Fullerton Heritage, The Fullerton Waterboat House, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, and Far East Square. The URA Architectural Heritage Awards is presented by the URA as a recognition for owners, contractors, and professionals who do their best to restore and conserve monuments and buildings.
